As part of the Global Economic Dynamics project, I had a chance to speak with Dr. Furman, Chairman of the White House Counsel of Economic Advisers on globalization
Dr. Furman’s perspective matters to Latin America. Given the importance of trade with the US, as well as Latin America’s involvement in major multilateral trade agreements and negotiations such as TPP and NAFTA (as well as LATAM’s lack of involvement in other agreement such as TTIP), the White House’s angle on globalization is certainly informative for the region.
A new study from the Global Economic Dynamics Project measures how much different countries have benefited from globalization.
